No big purchases

Going over my credit and pay and you asked me what I had in savings. I said nothing, which is true and then you asked me if I made any recent sizable purchases.

Hmmm - it took everything inside me not to crack a smile.

I have not made any big purchases.... Whew - that was close.

In the end, I felt really guilty about not putting forth the same effort towards past bills as I did with your ring. Kinda felt like I'm not doing a good job, which makes sense since I didn't do a good job with my credit.
